Bernhard Langer is a German professional golfer. He was a two-time Masters champion and one of the best golfers in the world during the 1980s and 1990s. In 1986, he became the sport's first official ranking player after the establishment of the OWGR. Langer is one of five golfers to have won professional golf championships on the six continents where golf is played. He has won all the first tours, with 42 victories on the European Tour, three times on the PGA Tour and countless international victories; including wins at the Japan Golf Tour, Asian Tournament, Australasian Tournament and Tour de las Américas. The highlight of Langer's career was his two major championships. His first big win was at the 1985 Masters Tournament, where Langer won with two strokes against runners-up Seve Ballesteros, Raymond Floyd and Curtis Strange. His second major streak was at the 1993 Masters Tournament with a four-time victory over Chip Beck.
