American actor best remembered for roles in films such as Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, Hickey & Boggs, Hannie Caulder and TV series I Spy and The Greatest American Hero. An article in 1959 mentioned Culp being "73 inches off the ground" and in a 1960 article he mentioned in reference to actors like Jim Arness, Clint Eastwood and Eric Fleming: "It kind of gives me pause, when I realise that at six-foot-one I'm the pygmy of the lot....Size gives a guy authority"
